Robyn is passionate about supporting families living with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). As a mum of two children with high functioning ASD, Robyn understands the challenges from a parent’s perspective, as well as the process of getting a diagnosis, navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), advocating for school inclusion and developing good working relationships with a range of therapists to support children with ASD.
In seeing the incredible revolutionary change happening for the support and inclusion of ASD today with her own children, Robyn is passionate and dedicated to carrying forward the growing scientific evidence for ASD in optimising therapeutic outcomes and quality of life.
By personalising healthcare regarding the emerging evidence around how our genes interact with nutrients, mitochondrial function and cellular antioxidant capacity, Robyn recognises these key areas as profoundly important in how ASD can be managed for better therapeutic outcomes.
The focus on neurological conditions in children extends into working with children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiance, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Robyn works with families to optimise treatment outcomes for:
- Gut health in ASD children and adults
- Improving cognition, attention, mood and behaviour
- Addressing common issues in ASD: sleep, diet intake and immune function
- Acute onset tics and OCD in children; particularly when co-existing with ASD
