As a naturopath with extensive clinical experience, Carrun is passionate about working with patients to improve cholesterol and high blood sugar levels to reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease. 

With a strong focus on preventing the risk of these chronic diseases, after completing studies in naturopathy, she went on to complete postgraduate studies as not only a qualified diabetes educator but also achieved a Masters degree in Human Nutrition.

Carrun has a unique set of skills and knowledge to work with patients with diabetes and heart disease to improve fatigue, weight management and reduce complications including how to manage hypo events. Carrun knows from her extensive clinical experience that patients don’t have to be resigned to declining health, but through an individualised approach can significantly improve their quality and enjoyment of life.

Carrun provides an integrative approach to treatment working collaboratively with your general practitioner or specialist to ensure holistic, evidence-based and long-term positive health outcomes.

Based on her strong reputation within the profession, Carrun has lectured at both leading naturopathic colleges in Melbourne – Endeavour College of Natural Health and Southern School of Natural Therapies.

When not seeing patients, Carrun co-ordinates teams of health professionals into remote areas of the South Pacific in area’s poorest villages to assess and reduce risk of diabetes.  Carrun works closely with the Ministry of Health and is compiling data on the prevalence of diabetes and hypertension to present internationally.

As a truly comprehensive and patient-centred health professional, Carrun applies her extensive naturopathic knowledge to assist patients with:
